I loved the "Celtic" medicine wheel workshop. Sam has an expanse of knowledge and a passion for teaching only what she knows to be true with a primary source to back it up. Any personal interpretations, she made clear were just that.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about our ancestors and the land I come from. I am excited to start using the wheel to help balance my life and become my truest self.

 

The shamanic journeys Sam and Roger took us on were very enlightening and I was surprised how many of us saw/heard the same thing. It confirmed that what I was experiencing was real and not imagined.

 

I went not knowing anyone and left with lots of new friends. It was a great experience.

 

The yurt where it was held was amazing, so comfortable and warm and the poshest composting toilet I've ever seen! I highly recommend.

I've been looking for and calling in a teacher as my exploration of my indigenous ways ancestry of these isles for a number of years. Nothing quite felt right until I came across Sam and her work. Immediately I was drawn in and knew I had to go on her introductory workshop. Wow! Little did I know how impactful her teachings were going to be?

 

I was enthralled the whole weekend, with many of my preconceptions shaken as the truth of what is known from the original sources was revealed. Sam's depth of knowledge from 1st hand research of original texts and her long personal journey with these ways is, I feel unique.

 

What I learned on that weekend now sits so deeply in my bones and in my blood, its fire for my continuing exploration into the old ways of these isles. So much so I've been on the weekend twice more!

 

I can't wait for Sam's year long seership training to launch, I'll going to be the 1st person signing up for sure!

I’ve been following Sam’s work for a few months now and was absolutely thrilled to get a place on this introductory workshop. However, what I wasn’t prepared for was the incredible impact and sheer lyrical beauty of it!

 

Sam is an astonishing teacher: thoughtful, supportive and intuitive on a level that I’ve never encountered before in ten years of doing other workshops and retreats. Her scholarship is impeccable, her passion is infectious and the authenticity of her teaching is absolute. I came away with a secure connection to our indigenous Medicine Wheel and a variety of effective and powerful tools to work with over the coming months while we wait for both her book to come out and her year long training to deepen and embed the work in my life and practice.

 

If you ever get the chance to work with this inspirational woman, do it…it’ll be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made!

I've never really felt like I've belonged in England. Always searching for another spiritual tradition that resonated more than our bipolar disconnected society or dogmatic approach to religion... until I attended Sam's weekend.

 

Sam's teaching helped me connect my deep love for the British landscape with a sense of deep rooted wisdom and connection.

 

I felt like I had found in part some wisdom of my ancestors. I felt like I found my home. The wisdom I learnt has been a fantastic way of integrating my love for nature and feeling of spirit into ceremony and ritual. In continuing my journey trying to weave it into my life.

 

The way my family and I live, the way I approach the land and seasons, the way I hold ceremony and the way I coach.

 

I deeply resonate with these teachings. They feel deeply rooted in the earth. They feel tangible. They feel like a remembering of a more spiritual and connected time.

I have just done ‘The Wisdom of the four directions’ workshop with Sam as I want to reclaim ancient wisdom from this land, these Isles and put it to good use. I felt this teaching ‘land’ in my body like nothing else. I realise that my ways, that not a lot of others were doing, are ancient ways, wise ways, good ways.

 

I wasn’t drawn to Shamanism or Celtic New Age but what I was feeling is still in the land to be learnt from.

 

What Sam teaches makes sense to me, inspires me and empowers me. I feel grounded in this knowledge and realise how much I am now drawn to find out & experience much much more.

Thank you for your focus, clarity and strong holding of the space. It surpassed my hopes and expectations. The whole weekend was medicine emerging from the land and our own ancients.

 

It is going to take me a while to keep sipping this medicine to receive all it wants to give.

 

Wonderful group of people... thank you for being part of the medicine. Hearing your words wove a new kinda magic for me. now time to ground it into my day to day living.

Searching for difficult to find indigenous spiritual teachings for the UK, I found Sam.

 

Of my four main spiritual affairs teachers over several years I count Sam as a good one.

 

Time on Sam's weekend was a well held, well thought out, mythbusting, academically grounded, and fascinating. An academic and practical journey into the bones of my land and myself.

 

Prepare to be surprised! To be helped to find your own way to the newly lit ancient paths, to hear ancient poetry, to find new meaning in it, and to come home a slightly different person.

 

The other participants were a lovely group and held such varied talents and knowledge as well.

 

A very special experience. To be well recommended. Yes, it was great.

I found Sam's workshop to be fascinating, enlightening, and it really lit a fire in my belly to learn more about what our ancestors were really like. 

 

It shocked me how much bunkum is taken as fact, with no actual proof! 

Sam is a wealth of knowledge.

 

It was a really great experience, so much so that I'm doing it again soon and bringing along a few more friends!

After searching for a meaningful spiritual way of life nothing I tried felt right for me, I felt there must be an indigenous way, a connection to and an honouring of my ancestors.

 

I have known Sam for a number of years and have come to know her as a woman of integrity, a scholar, a teacher and an authentic human being, as soon as I saw the Medicine Wheel workshop I just knew it was for me.

 

The whole weekend was amazing, full of revelation and the beginning of a journey working with this land that is home, I came away with a sense of belonging and feeling equipped to take the first steps on this road and am looking forward to the rest of the journey.

I attended the weekend workshop in Launceston with an open mind and heart.

 

I have been searching for “teachings” that mean something to me, that call to my soul and speak of my indigenous land.

 

Sam is a wonderful teacher, her passion for her work glows from her. I have never felt so at ease listening to a teacher and her study on the Pretani and their wheel of the year resonated with me and felt very natural.
